The 6th Architecture & Design Film Festival (ADFF), New York

This year’s ADFF is coming up, and as we see in this article, founder, director and curator Kyle Bergman is very excited about Margreth’s chapter:
“(…)The other five directors who took up the challenge did it in their own way. Obviously different films will resonate differently with each of us, but they all prove 3D is an exciting and innovative medium. For example, even though I’ve never been in it, the film about the Oslo Opera House gave me a really great understanding of what the building is about, I really got a good sense of it from the film.”

THE PROJECT
Directors Wenders, Glawogger, Madsen, Redford, Olin,
Ainouz to explore the soul of buildings:

Berlin, January 17, 2014 – CATHEDRALS OF CULTURE, a 3D film project about the soul of buildings, produced by Neue Road Movies (PINA) will world premiere in Berlinale Special. Filmed in stunning 3D and executive produced by Wim Wenders, the films allow six iconic and very different buildings to speak for themselves. They examine human life from the unblinking perspective of a manmade structure. Six acclaimed filmmakers bring their own visual style and artistic approach to the project. Buildings, they show us, are material manifestations of human thought and action. CATHEDRALS OF CULTURE explores how each of these landmarks reflects our culture and guards our collective memory.

“If buildings could talk, what would they say about us?”
