MY UNCLE
Uncle Reidar has one too many chromosomes,
which means that he has Down’s syndrome.
In this film we experience his life in short flashbacks until today, seen through the perspective and narration of his niece Margreth Olin.
We meet Reidar, his mother and his sister,
who are all honest about having a child and a brother with Down’s syndrome.
They are open about the joys and the pains.
A warm, touching and tender story told with a lot of love. The film is a personal documentary with a message for us all, while simultaneously touching upon an important and current theme in the present.
